I always was ahead of anything and everything. Like my life was like a song, always stepping in time regardless of the beat that was playing.

The three Spartans sat in silence. There was an odd feeling in the air between them. The Spartan II fidgeted for a moment. "So, what were you and the Commander fighting about?" Jorge was trying to be casual with the question, but from how Kat had shouted at Carter to leave her alone it wasn't really a casual question.
Kat glared at him, still a bit mad from her argument with Carter. "Just a question he's been asking me since we first became teammates."
Emile chuckled. "I can think of several things I'd ask you to do the first time I saw you." He leaned a bit on the table. "Though considering it's the Commander, I'm guessing you he keeps ask

"Don't blame the falcon for how bad the weather was. Falcons aren't supposed to be able to make it through storms like that." Jun moved around the falcon. It was half buried in the sand where it had crashed the night before. The Spartans had only recently woken up after having been knocked out during the crash.
